cheap, healthy (sorta) wheat chips with yogurt dip
Переглядів 289Місяць тому
If you buy your wheat flour wholesale and reuse your oil like I do, a plate of these chips is like 25 cents. Basic "recipe" (I always eyeball this, so go by sight and feel): 1 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup water* (you may need more or less) a pinch of salt Combine the ingredients into a dough that is soft and moist, but not too sticky. (a little stick on your hands at first is okay, but if it k...

Dump the chicken and salsa into the slowcooker. 2. Cover with the lid and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours until the chicken shreds easily. That’s ...
homemade jalapeno poppers (step by step)

Jalapeno poppers are probably the least healthy thing a person can eat…which is why they’re also the tastiest thing a person can eat. They take some time to make, but you can make a big batch and freeze most of them for later. I actually think they fry up better after they’ve been frozen first. easy brussels sprouts for a healthy side

      phone takes much better video, but I can't rig it to a tripod and it's a hassle to transfer the files, so it's a tradeoff.

    I guess you don’t need to use soy sauce if you use the Chinese spice. Soy sauce also makes the texture more moist, anyway. I learned some people get headaches from consuming MSG for the first time after I moved to US. It is kind of essential in the Asian dishes. Your fried rice is not ugly, Sarah. It looks perfect dish to me. Thanks for sharing.

    • @SarahLovesFood
      @SarahLovesFood 29 днів тому

      A lot of the "MSG gives people headaches claims" have been debunked--I think a lot of the anti-MSG sentiment was fueled by racism. My Chinese-American friends growing up had MSG shakers on their tables and we cooked with Ajinomoto in Japan all the time--just took me forever to finally start cooking with it myself (I use Ajinomoto, of course.)

    I don't buy any kinds of chips at the grocery stores bc of the prices. I just can't convince myself to pay so much for just bags of chips. But, I still like to eat them here and there. I make potato chips every now and then. This wheat chips look so yummy. I will definitely make for myself very soon. Thanks for sharing.
